On August 30th, 2000, I founded “Earth Network of Altruistic, Autonomous Individuals Inc,” or “Earth Network” for short. Exactly 45 days later I was arrested. I didn’t know what I was charged with until I read the local newspaper. The title of the article about me and what they said that I had done, was “Public Enemy Number One.”

The word “altruistic” is in the name of the company I founded not because I was characterizing myself as being good, but because I wanted to convey the message that human nature was good. I was telling people “You are altruistic.” That’s my message to humanity.

I came to this conclusion as a result of careful research I had been conducting for many years.

I was testing the theory that our beliefs, thoughts and emotions create our reality. I was testing the negative beliefs of our culture. Beliefs about sexuality and human motivation in particular. If we changed our beliefs in these areas, would our experience change? I had to find out.

I would test each belief by adopting the belief to be studied. I would be the test subject — the guinea pig, so to speak. I would willfully adopt a particular belief I wanted to test. This would be done by repeating affirmations stating that the belief was a reality. Once I felt that I believed something fully, I would then study the effect of the belief.

This is what the government read to a jury to convict me of a crime of “intent.”
